so i dunno if you’ve heard of it, but there’s a thing called Woojer that apparently uses some kind of haptic technology so you can FEEL the sound. they make a vest, or a band that had the thing on it and it seems really cool. I haven’t tried it yet, but I really want to because, i mean, who doesn’t want to feel their music? That’s one of my favorite things about going to concerts is being able to feel the bass in my feet and ribcage. Anyway, I thought i’d mention it because if it really does work, then it would be right up your alley

i wonder if my parents would get me some for my birthday! I can hear, but not well i’m HOH and i have APD and selective hearing, so let’s just say i miss a lot 😅 and music is really hard bc whenever i have it low i can’t hear it but when i have it loud my mom is afraid i’ll get me hearing worse.

So you’re hearing just the vibrations from the bass? We can’t hear anything.

Maybe you should mic the full bass so we can hear what you’re hearing.

To you and all other deaf people, look up haptic feedback vests for music, there are brands that specialise in making vests that make you “feel” the frequencies of the music in your body much like a concert with loud bass. I think this could be awesome for y’all.

I am hearing myself and couldn’t survive a world without music as I am a musician so all respect to y’all, but if this makes y’all able to experience music in your own way then I’m extremely happy for you and hope more evolution within music for the deaf happens very soon. 😊🫂
