I assumed that’s what was happening, because deaf/HOH people still feel like stuff. I know I’m not eloquent I’m sorry. T^T It kinda reminds me of the LA Bratz movie, y’all know that one? 😂 But a love interest was deaf in that and he played the drums(?) I think. And he noted how even though he couldn’t hear everything he could feel the music which is why he liked playing the drums.

I’m actually woking on a design for a special subwoofer that sends vibrations directly into the ground for deaf people at concerts. My gf and my friend is deaf and I started hanging out with her deaf friend group. I just recently became Ageusic and Anosmic. I have no sense of taste or smell. I have a huge fragrance collection I loved and a passion for cooking. I can enjoy neither now. Food is a chore now that I can’t taste it. My doctor said it will probably be a few months but if it doesn’t come back by then it won’t ever come back. I don’t know what it’s like to be deaf, but I know what it’s like to lose one of your senses. It’s not fun, but I’ll live. At least I can clean the bathrooms at my shop no problem now. I can eat anything because there’s no flavor, and I can fart whenever I want and it’s someone else’s problem!

I think people forget that music is made up of vibrations, and even if you can’t hear the sound, you can still feel it. So even someone who is fully 100% deaf and can’t even use hearing aids can still listen to music. My uncle is fully deaf from birth, has never been able to hear anything a day in his life, and he’s a drummer. Not just a drummer but a GOOD drummer. If you didn’t know he was deaf, you’d have no idea just listening to him play. It’s incredible.
