I recently found out about bone conduction headphones. Since they don’t rely upon sounds moving through airwaves, I wondered if they would help or enhance the experience of music for someone with hearing loss or deafness. Have you ever heard of it or tried them?

My sister has hearing loss so my mom said we should try to learn sign languange incase she goes completly deaf one day. I also thought how useful it would be to gossip and use backstage during a peformance. But now I’m afraid of useing it wrong and my sister (the one WITH hearing loss) doesn’t speak any sign languange and I’m kinda left here with a languange I’m not gonna use until like late april. Now aprils fast aproaching and I forgot how to sign. Hwlp D:

I use those exact headphones… they so expensive but the base is so good 😭

For anyone who’s questions the cost.. I don’t remember exactly but I think it’s around 40 bucks for that particular model but the one with a chord is cheaper ~20 buck.. and yes that’s expensive for me because I usually go for cheaper brands but they doesn’t last as long and I’m spending ~20 more so I don’t have a chord all because my cat has an obsession..

I’m not hard of hearing or deaf but I love music with a big instrumental (usually rock or metal) so my headphones reflect that.. I know more expensive ones exist I once got a $60 one and then had to replace them two months later because they stopped working even though they were marketed at DJ headphones..

Music is how I emotionally regulate because otherwise I have a meltdown.. which is partially because I spend a lot of energy trying to hear/understand and a lot of energy communicating.. had sign been a resource for me growing up I likely would’ve been nonverbal only talking some times as it causes me a lot of stress.. I have ADHD and have been told by multiple ASD people (including my sister) that I have it but I take that with a grain of salt while admitting I show most symptoms

Anyway thank you Liz I can now understand a lot of sign thanks to your videos.. albeit with a little struggle since I’m still new.. I want to get lessons on how to actually sign but for now I’ll have to learn from my hearing friends because I can’t get in person lessons from a deaf person and struggle to learn from a device..

I used to always use my over-ear headphones but I now use earbuds. (Both are Bluetooth) but whenever I want some bass, I love putting on my headphones again. It makes me happy.

The only problem abt headphones being so loud is that you can hear the music outside the headphones which kind of defeats the purpose but it’s not by much it’s not like rlly rlly loud but you can hear the music specially if it’s really quiet
