WAY too expensive. You could just get the kind of earphones you want for much less with a little bit of research.

The Sennheiser HD580, HD600, and HD650 are all interchangeable, modular headphones that in all likelihood DESTROY the headphones featured in this video, even if they’re not as interchangeable with other headphone lines, like the ‘phones featured. The Sennheisers are so good that even Massdrop came out with an HD6XX series if I’m not mistaken, which is as amazing as ever, and still has all the modular fixin’s to boot. My personal main headphones for example are HD580’s running HD600 metal grilles, and HD650 cables. And I’ve never heard better for the money from anything else, though Grado and Koss KSC-75’s come damn close.

Or just mod/make your own. Communities all around t50rps from Fostex and all the Grados are yuge and allow you to make whatever kind of sound you want without buying some parts from this website. I bet these puppies are NOT worth the price and are made to be bought by idiots who know nothing and have no motivation to ACTUALLY try to make something themselves suited to their tastes

Modular headphones have been around for a while. I dont know if they still make headphones but SOL Republic made a bunch of modular headphones.

I’ve used these for over about 18 months and they’re really fantastic.
Initially had a Fools Gold edition set of TMA-1’s but the head band was very brittle and snapped pretty quickly after purchasing. Aiaiai provided me with a voucher for their store though to purchase TMA-2 components as the replacement.

Sol Republic (A Beats competitor) did the exact same thing with headphones. I think they were 1st to the modularity game. I had their middle headphones and an upgraded headband and a longer cable. I think the only reason this video came out was for the sponsorship.
