this isn’t the best review since linus clearly didn’t read instructions on the app since he can’t even pause it since you have to tap twice and you need to have contact with the cup to activate the ambience 🤦‍♂️

You can change some of Linuses complaints.

His issue with hearing his own voice with ambient mode can be reduced by turning off focus on voice and turning down ambient to 14-17. Default for mine was 20 (max).

The delay on speak to chat turning off can be adjusted up or down, but I don’t know many that use that feature.

When he was trying to pause the music he was single tapping. It’s a double tap to pause and play.

I alsohad that issue with the quick ambient mode not working the first time I used it. A disconnect and reconnect resolved the issue and I’ve never had the problem since.

If you’re using an Android I really recommend going in and turning on LDAC. Yes it takes about 2 hours of battery life away, but the sound is sooooo much better. No probably still not to the level of the Seinheusers, but it’s noticeably better for music than the standard AAC that it defaults to.

Tried XM5’s for two days and returned them, went back to XM4. New ones have auto NC optimizer which still hasn’t been fixed. XM4 the best headphones because you choose how much NC you want and it stays like that. XM5’s not recommended!

Sony has 1 feature that literally kills these for me. Whenever you take a call, you cannot disable transparency mode. Which is annoying to the point where I can’t hear anything other than cars, crowd and my chair. And it’s not possible to set it up or tone it down, at least on their twe. That’s a feature that never gets mentioned, yet believe you me you’ll notive (and hate!) it.

Sony has always had a leg up on competition. When my $50 pair of Sony headphones gets ~5hz bass response compared to the dogsh1t they force on you with BEATS or pods…let’s just say new generations are missing out on more than they even know…or hear.

I have orders these on a thanksgiving discount and just used them for a day tested with several settings and music video tracks and I wonder how these headphones are very cheaply made and even price tag is way high…I felt nothing impressive about these headphones….it’s completely made of recycled cheap materials including packaging….I would say and feel these are worth for $150 and even can be less…. sound quality is not that great need to swipe the volume to 100 at least to feel the music and just for good ANC not sure if this high price tag justifies…also not sure why people are so mad about these headphones, but as quality sound lover I did not like these headphones even a percent. Returned the next day.
