Still rocking my Wh1000xm3 cuz aptX got removed ever since the Wh1000xm4, and aptX matters when watching TV, videos and gaming on Switch with a Bluetooth adapter for less latency than with SBC which is annoyingly noticeable.

I used to like Sony Headphones but that whole “touch to control” is annoying for me – I miss physical buttons like on MDR-XB950N1 💔

Love my xm3s and they are starting to show some heavy wear on the cushioning after almost 3 years. Not sure about these xm5s though, I might just get an xm4. Or just keep on rocking the beat up xm3s

You can edit the the speak to chat feature for sensitivity and time period and the transparency mode doesn’t work by using the force but by actual human touch. 😂

I’d definitely like to see a review on them as well.
There are a number of things in here which are probably user error and I’d like to know if they are worth upgrading to fro. My XM3’s. They are getting ratty and need an upgrade.

I found the conversation detection and the adaptive noise cancelling to be kind of gimmicky. It’s cool that they’re offering these features but they definitely need a lot more refinement… on my WH1000XM4s I just keep noise cancellation set to max and frequently use the quick attention mode (hand over right ear cup) to hear what others are saying. The hand actually needs to make contact with the ear cup for it to work.

It wasn’t covered super thoroughly in this video, but the touch interface is really a game changer. I don’t think I can go back to another model that doesn’t have it. For the price, I feel these are the best as far as covering most bases. They might not be the best in terms of audio quality, but they are still very good (compared to similarly priced Bose/beats) and the battery life, comfort, and ease of use makes up for it.
