Linus should stop testing Sony headphones on iPhones. You don’t get the full experience with a phone, that doesn’t support any of the fancy Bluetooth codecs, that Sony has.

As someone who owns the Sony 1000 xm4, if speak to chat take too much time to resume for you, you can customize said time in the app. To pause the music who have to quietly double tap the right ear cup. Also to activate quick attention who have to cover the right ear cup. I haven’t trie the xm5 but I am guessing those things were left unchanged.

My friend, you must double tap to pause. You were single tapping. And quick ambient mode isn’t a hover, but a palm touch and hold on the right ear.
