I got those headphones they suck I got 2 pairs of them and they both broke within two week both times they stopped charging and they had no physical damage and Sonys customer support is terrible when they work they are great but then they don’t work the touch pad is nice but it randomly on both sets of headphones the noise canceling randomly turns off don’t by these headphones they are really terrible they are $300 pieces of junk

Damn linus you noob lol. You’re supposed to put your hand ON the cups for the ambient mode, not hover over them like you’re willing them to start hovering from the power of mind control 😂

As for the talk activated ambient sound… that’s actually a REALLY annoying “feature”. Can’t even whistle without it getting activated. It literally accepts any sound as a cue to go into ambient mode.

The sound quality is decent but the quality of materials have been going down hill since the xm2. The headband is a prime example where my xm3 flimsy plastic cracked. aluminum and other strong but light weight metals is what you deserve at this price point “here is were apple at least understands to some degree”. It just not tough to last 2 + years.

I just don’t like the adjustment mechanism. Those kinds seem like you wouldn’t be able to get it to be symmetrical on both sides of your head size required the adjustment not to be at max or required the adjustment to be in the middle

I am so happy that they spent <10 seconds on the audio quality of the headphones! because I don't buy my headphones for the sound, of course not, why would I? (sarcasm). like, I just don;t understand what the point of a review is if you won't review the sound for more than 3% of the video.

Big Linus fan, but I’d like to call out there was a lot of incorrect use with the touch controls and EQ:
1) To use Quick Attention you need to physically hold your hand on the outside of the earcup, not hover an inch away
2) The pause is a double tap, not one tap
3) In terms of the EQ options, manual is ‘on-the-fly’ edits, while the custom 1-x are your saved manual profiles for future user (similar to a bookmark)

A bit disappointed with the over criticality of the product based on a lack of product/UI/design understanding. This is why Sony has a thorough walkthrough of the product directly built into the app, which was clearly taken for granted here. It really felt like there was a large bias against the product, which the creator is supposed to remove for the sake of the viewer. Coming from a very happy XM4 owner who has owned many other headphones.
