Bose QC35ii all the way. Tried them all and always come back to the best. I’m fucking dead in my right ear and they somehow make it feel like i can hear and that’s super cool. The Sonys can’t do it for me, but they are super nice I’ll give ya that.

The XM3 and the XM4 were the biggest bang-for-the-buck ANC headphones on the market, and even the AirPods Max only offered slightly better ANC with arguably inferior music reproduction. The AirPods Max’ biggest advantages were ease of pairing/integrated Apple usage and the microphones.
What Sony did finally decide to do was to make their headphones finally look like nice headphones. When you look at the Bose ANC 700, the B&W PX7, the eventual AirPods Max, the XM-series were ugly and were nearly indistinguishable from their cheaper headphones.

Now what they need to fix is the stupid naming

The truth is , every Bluetooth headphones for the past few years sound exactly the same … You simply can’t pass through that Bluetooth bitrate limitation. Only the codes used by the headphones are changing , for ex. aptX , SBC ,LDAC etc. You’re paying extra for the new design and the noise cancellation .

You have to actually touch the cup to activate the ambient sound, that’s how my XB900 works

Sony’s headphone have been getting better and better in the last five years. And I have picked Sony headphones over Bose the last two times. The quality, sound and comfort is just so good now. Plus the price is very reasonable as well.
