Actually we record a radio show and it’s very useful to have a headphone that you can daily drive on bluetooth but also works when recording connected by cable to the controller, that way you don’t need two headphones
I’d go Blon b60 for half the price.
But I prefer wired anyway over wireless
I am still happy with my XM2s 🙂
That was actually quite a poor review. Redo it. Had mx4 for a while now and the reason I bought it was to switch simultaneously between 2 phones. Work and personal. They do it exceptionally well. Occassionally the mic can deliver a poor quality but often it is fine. I was really looking fw to a good review about mx5 increased microphone capability and what that did to call quality.
I sometimes wonder if he even reads the user manual 😅
You have to actually touch the touch controls for quick ambient mode.
Fuck bluetooth. I love the audio jack :D.
I don’t get those videos for products i can’t buy yet. I bet most people have forgotten that those exist once they are released xD.
So… It’s finally time to bring back 90s grey
What about connection? I have MX3 and when You have Your phone in the right pocket it looses connection pretty often…
Saw another review that said you can change the time it takes for the ambient mode turns off. Apparently it was a big problem with the XM4s that this was fixed at 30s, but now it can be lowered to 5s.
It’s not beige, its “stone ” lmao
Still rocking Mark IIs and it was one of the best tech pieces I’ve bought
bonfire childish gambino!!
TBH. XM# Sony Headphone sounds Above Average with Ambients settings and Noise Cancelling off.
But if you turn on the Noise Cancelling, the sound improves by 60%. Sound very close to 500-600 headphones (Not the Seinheizer headphones, just built different),
its more pronounced without the Bass Drowning it out. The Headpones kinda forces you to use the Noise Cancelling.
I feel like Linus JUST use the headphones the first time, its funny how he tries to pause the music by a single tap. It’s double to stop it. (Unless XM5’s have an option to change
the tap/touch screen layout. Doubt it though).
Sorry its no longer acceptable for any headphones to be made of plastic / use fake leather over AU$200. I want high build quality / metal components / heft / quality and none of these brands match the build quality / audio quality of the AirPods max. I don’t care about weight specially when its used as an excuse to make products cheaper – again not acceptable. Anything else is just garbage / junk and overpriced to boot. I do like Sennheiser products but they too have reduced their built quality in their HD range to that of a toy – too much plastic, poor amplification even via analogue / and too little soundstage. I would love to use the IE600’s which are AU$1,200 here however in order to use wired headphones on Apple hardware means means a lighting to 3.5 adapter however if the sound is amazing via analogue without having to use a separate portable DAC / AMP then count me in. I agree with Linus – once you experience the best its almost impossible to go back.
I’ll never get this time back. What a sad opportunity lost, to review these headphones. Don’t give up your day job.
I don’t like speak-to-chat, my xm4 would keep turning it on because there’s a setting you can’t change that makes it when you do a certain motion or whatever with the touch sensor control panel, it’ll turn it on, and totally ruin my day because I have to connect my phone to it again and wait for half a minute while it connects and whatnot and I fix it.
Thankfully, you can just turn off the touch sensor control panel
Edit: the only moment the touch sensor control panel doesn’t bother me is with anything other than speak-to-chat, so no, I didn’t have any other problems while I laid down and accidentally put my hand on the side of my head due to a habit of mine.
Pity about the rubbish sound quality
Half-assed video.
Perfect test with an iPhone that doesn’t support LDAC (wich is one of the main features of these Headphones), Apple still selling 470€ headphones with AAC…
