Sony always seems to be something of a sleeper brand for quality audio products. They may not always be the extreme best, but they’re quietly lurking near the top of quality across a large number of audio products.

I really like that review, that while missing some of the very tweakable parts of what the product * can do * , gives a representation of just how most would use, or give a quick comparison to another product. Yes I understand dialling in personal preferences are a thing, and those sony’s are lacking in EQ ( not to the extent of some others) , it doesn’t quite matter as much.
Upside, versus AP Max , they don’t claim to be the ‘ultimate listening experience’

You should have tried them out on an Android device, because then you could use LDAC which sounds a whole lot better than AAC which is used on iPhone 😅

I dont understand why people find these appealing as apposed to the Bose or Senhiesser wireless headphones. I’ve tried all the top wireless headphones on the market and Sony’s top of the line earbuds and headphones just don’t sound good plain and simple. I have a good amount of experience with high end audio and Sony missed the mark very badly in my opinion. The Bose just look better and sound better was disappointing.

got an XM4 and yea…..they are the only ones you need if you want to chill and hear music really good. Plus multiple device connections is great.

One thing I hate about the XM4s is speak to chat – it somehow turns itself on every so often and I have to connect it to my phone to turn it off.
