They’ll just sell it on Aliexpress with no refunds, or make legit headphones that look exactly like airpods and say it the title that they are fake but cheaper and still good, since there are companies that basically do that.

I have a pair of the fakes. They look identical to the real ones and the serial numbers even match on Apple’s website. I wish I had of known when I bought them that the guy was scamming me.

Even with this warning, you can continue to pair them through the Bluetooth menu like it says and you still get all the airpods features like the spacial audio and noise cancellation sliders in the volume Haptic Touch menu and the normal Airpods pop up animations still work. It’s only a notification to let you know that you could have been scammed, but doesn’t otherwise impair any functionality
