The lack of speakers or over ear accessibility killed my chances for getting this. Quest 2’s built in audio is incredible. Most reviews didn’t point out the audio and I was so close to buying it.

The Vive was the first major consumer VR headset, and it had OLED screens. This is the first with HDR I believe.

What a shit video.
Tries only the demo of horizon, which isnt even the full tutorial, didn’t play re8 village (which is exclusive to psvr2) or Gran turismo 7 (ultimate driving game with wheel and VR).

No Pavlov VR, no pistol whip, no swordman, not even the star wars DEMO. just taking about how games exits on other platforms (duh) while ignoring that this shit is only 600$ and runs better than a 1400$ VR headset on a 2000$ PC.

This could be the most uninformed, ignorant, casual, “who gives a fuck, I don’t” review of anything tech I’ve ever seen.
It’s embarassing honestly.

My only question is: WHY THE FUCK DID YOU BUY IT?
Was it by mistake? Cuz it looks like it. Its like a completely ignorant and uninformed random buy cuz the thing… exists.
Why does this video even exist? This feels more of a journal of a 40 yo weed guy that got VR as a payment for weed and just said “why not”.

You look like a guy that would just be happy playing SNES for the rest of his life. Are you a Nintendo fanboy? Cuz you feel like one (yes, it’s the first time I see this dudes videos).

Yeah, just leave VR alone. You look like you would puke and get motion sick just sitting and looking down in a car thats not moving.
I don’t get the motion sickness thing, at worst I’ve had headspins the first time I played, when a character is jumping/falling or the first steps with a stick the first time I’ve tried VR, but never actual nausea or anything close.

Humanity is a VR game and is pretty good, in the demo it asked me if I wanted to play in VR.

For Horizon, it isn’t just a “disney ride” but I do agree it is a climbing game (best climbing in any VR game I’ve played) with intense and very satisfying combat. It’s got a fleshed out story, is very polished and is definitely worth checking out (sorry you didn’t feel that way from the demo). All in all, I think your main complaint stems from you not liking the genre or not being used to VR in general (feel free to correct me btw).

Also, side note: I found it funny in the footage you played Horizon sitting down, and you played Demeo standing up (probably cause you don’t need to virtually move in Demeo).

Overall is great to have more competition in the VR space. I’d wait for there to be more exclusives before picking up the PSVR2, but personally i’m looking forward most to the Vive XR Elite. Yeah it’s more than double the price of the Quest 2 but i’m fine paying that premium for a non-facebook device.

I’d say while Horizon is the flagship game, it’s Gran Turismo 7 thats the system seller. That game with a racing wheel is incredible.
I played Dirt Rally in PSVR1 but the clarity PSVR2 brings it to another level.

Dude you didn’t even try the exceptional games that are not only exclusive, but also currently the best experiences on the headset. Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village are both incredible.

Play re village its the best one out. Moss 2 is good. Horizon looks ok but all that climbing is annoying
