I played GT7 in VR for 4 hours straight. I’m not really into racing games but it was an amazing gaming experience.
I wore the headset with my prescription glasses and had to make minor adjustments to the headset every once in a while to find my sweet spot for the visuals.
I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews for the PSVR2, but I recommend it. This is my first VR headset. It’s comfortable and Sony’s VR library will get better. ✌️
Man it must be nice to leave a message on Twitter saying you don’t give a shit about a product and Sony is just like “Have one for free!”.
@13:30 Hannah seems pissed that Bob wants to play 😂
If you have a good internet connection, you can also use air link with quest 2 and connect wireless to your pc
Gt7 is so good
It’s a matter of prerspective. To me I look at it as the price to add vr functionality to my PS5 not as an entry point for VR and from that viewpoint this is a good value. Not to mention for $150 or so more than a quest 2 you are getting way more resolution. foveated rendering. eye tracking and higher refresh rate which really matters in VR. The quest never really did it for me. The standalone was never powerful enough and tethered there are better solutions. From that standpoint the PSVR2 is more likely to give me what I am looking for in a VR headset.
You did what on a vr?
The walking dead car game that’s coming out is the only game really worth playing 🤷🏽♂️
I’ve been gaming since 1985 and the psvr2 has been the single most mind blowing gaming experience I’ve ever had, by far. I can’t believe I have this amazing tech at home at my disposal anytime I want to play it. I think you had some interesting choices as far as games that you’ve tried (and didn’t). I suggest playing Gran Turismo with a wheel and pedals (single handedly the greatest gaming experience I’ve ever had so far), Resident Evil Village, The Light Brigade, No Man’s Sky, Tetris Connected, Song in the Smoke, Star Wars Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, or Moss. All of these games are just simply amazing on the psvr2. Then, later this month I’m playing things like Right Before Your Eyes, TWD Saints & Sinners, Switchback, and Resident Evil 4 (if the VR mode is ready, might wait on that one). Lots of awesome games to try out still. Give it a go!
Quick pointer: Quest 2 does run at 120 hz at some games if you allow it. It used to be an experimental feature, as well as a tweak to do on Sidequest, but now it is an official feature.
super support_this whole time I felt like SONY PSVR 1 & Samsung Odyssey+ were better than everything else
PSVR 1 for whatever reason some games drift way left of the screen_& other games stayed center_heartbreaking
only reason Im hesitating to buy this_& like Wipeout Omega isn’t compatible w/ the new headset_but I’ll get it for sure
had they release this for Christmas ’22_sooo many people wouldve got it_I think most people like me still need a PS5 1st
1K for this combo isnt an excellent deal_just many people are extra conscious about spending after the holidays_its timing
Does it have lovense support ?
Get yourself a KIWI head strap for your quest. It will change your life.
I wanna know what anime game happy Bob was playing in VR. Hipster bob and his taxes haha
I hope psvr iterations always have a cable. I would hate to have to charge the headset and both controllers all the time.
I came around too. I was really nagged at first. Honestly turning down the brightness to 70 percent and learning to put the headset on, pull the viewfinder closer with a little light bleed, then tighten the back, it really is so much more comfortable. I absolutely love just plug and play. PSVR 1 was so annoying
The way I see it, this headset is for 2 types of people: VR enthusiasts who are willing to spend $950 ($400 for a PS5 Digital and $550 for the headset) to get the best price to performance VR system on the market, or people who already have a PS5 and are VR curious. For people who are mildly interested in VR and or don’t have a PS5, the Quest 2 is still the go to. But both products are targeting very different markets, they aren’t really comparable. This is meant to compete with a dedicated PCVR system, and I think the price is very attractive to people who want or expect the quality that only tethered PCVR could give you until now.
go play gran turismo 7 with a steering wheel. its INSANE!
I think you should play main exclusive psvr games like GT or Village before making a review. Who the hell is interested in some quest ports.
without backwards compatibility, there’s no way I can support this. Maybe in 4 or 5 years when there’s a price drop or two and plenty of cheap games, but I amassed a large PSVR1 Library of games, some I haven’t even played yet, and I don’t want to have to switch between headsets, especially with those wires! lol
