If you can try Resident Evil 7 (Village) VR. Amazing and my favorite game on the PSVR 2 along with GT7.
You should be able to use the pulse3D headset with the psvr. So yes you can use a headset but it needs to be able to fit. The nacon rig headset should also be able to work.
If they gave you the headset, it’s sponsored. Thanks for putting it in there, but we didn’t need the blathering at the beginning. Youtubers break this rule all the time: they get expensive free shit, and don’t mention it. You did the right thing, but then made it dubious. Just do the right thing next time.
I think you need to go back and take another look at the library. There are titles like Pavlov, GT7, Runner, zombie land, After the Fall, Jurassic World, Kayak VR, Moss 1&2, No Man’s Sky, Star Wars and more which are playable now. I’m really surprised that you didn’t even look at GT7 which is a premium game with a free upgrade to PSVR 2.
Wait a minute,
PSVR2: $550
PS5: $500
GAME: $50
WIRELESS CHARGER: $50
= $1,150 oh god noo….
Was there a mode to play your regular ps5 games on a larger screen while wearing the psvr2?
I totally get why you are bitching about the earbuds PSVR2 comes with. However, you can plug in any headset and the Pulse headset fits perfectly around and then under the head strap. The 3D audio that Sony does is hardware based and bonkers good. So if you like the PSVR2 its worth it to upgrade to a nicer set of earbuds (wired earbuds are inexpensive now) or even the Pulse headphones are $99.
It blows my mind how sony thinks 550 for a gatekept peripheral with a limited library is okay. If they opened up compatibility with steam or something, then hell yes this would sell like hotcakes, and id definitely look into getting one
Stick to reviewing flat consoles. This is clearly not for you.
Crappy review
GT7. End of discussion if you are into racing games. People spend $300 to upwards of $2000 for a wheel, let alone the full cockpit, etc. If you are into GT7; buy the VR2 now.
Way to help the VR progression, check you attitude at the door next time you review new tech!
Saying that it is effectively $1,050 is just a braindead argument. You’re buying a ps5 and the psvr2 is just an add on. If you buy the psvr2 and ps5 and only use it for vr you’re an idiot.
People seeing pron in VR for the first time be like:
The pulse headphone work great sound is incredible while playing re8 I kept switching to pass thru periodically while in the basement of the castle the water droplets felt like they were literally dropping in my living room
I’m not a huge fan of reviewers claiming they are unbiased when reviewing something sponsored but I believe you in this video. I value your opinion so if u said you didn’t like PSVR2 after a week I’d still believe you.
500 USD for the PS5?! i want 2 please!
Here in my country is 950 USD hahahah
You mention PSVR2 controller charge life while failing to mention the Quest 2 headset only has 2 hours battery life, unless you extend that by paying extra for a battery pack which attaches to and adds weight to that headset. You also use the add-on comfort headstrap, without mentioning it is only available at additional cost.
Quest 2 has limited 128Gb storage, unless you dig into your wallet again for an additional 128Gb add-on. Lots of significant additional costs being skipped over, which the casual viewer should be made aware of, since you insisted on bringing the Quest 2 in for comparison. When you mentioned tethering to a PC for VR, you completely side-stepped *the non-trivial few thousand dollars* cost of a high end PC. All of the extras plus a PC add up to *quite a bit more* than a base PS5 and PSVR2 to get anywhere near the same level of experience.
PSVR2 has made significant strides in eliminating motion sickness, while Quest 2 still suffers from this, plus stuttery images problematic to people with photosensitive conditions. For many people this is also *a non-trivial issue.*
Mandatory Facebook membership required with Quest VR headsets.
Finally, with only a quick look I counted 30+ games available *on launch day,* prices starting from around $20 up to $50, with more arriving during those important first weeks of the launch window, with further *major big name releases* already well into development to span the first year and beyond.
SONY are a big name in the consumer electronics world, are already commited to the technology, and have the momentum with the PS5 to attract *major players* like CAPCOM to revitalize the VR games market.
yo, 120 hertz does work on the quest 2
Some valid criticisms you have.
But i hard disagree that the audio solution is “atrocious”
Ive been touting to people that the ear buds are actually pretty good quality (about upper mid quality) I think you may not have heard what actual bad ear buds sound like in a long time lol Also, being able to have headphones depends from person to person. I can war headphones that are even wider than the pulse around my ears. My sisters dont like to with their smaller heads.
You got a defect, or you’re measuring the out of the box battery if yours died at 1 hour of play. I always can get about 4 hours at least. Still very poor, but not 1 hour..
The price of a ps5 is not $500… Its $400, if you are worried about price, you can easily save $100 by not splurging for the disc drive. People love to “calculate” the price of psvr2 by assuming you dont have a ps5, using the disc version, and pairing that with the $600 bundle that had a game inside.(but you didn’t do the last part.)
Lastly, I think you have a very valid point that the headset doesn’t make you feel welcomed to provide a good game to discover the new possibilities like the psvr1 & the ps5’s respective launch, free game.
