Do you recommend any EQ settings for the Bose QC45? They only have 3 bands so every change makes a big difference and I’m not sure which sounds best 🙁
Thank you for this, I use Steelseries Sonar for the EQ software, it has more frequency choice to be customized which makes me more confused lol. so I just copy your setting at 10:25 as baseline and add another frequency at 85hz to boost the bass a bit more to my preferences and IT WORKS! finally a clean yet punchy enough sounds.
As an person with sibilance( sentitive to high frequency) using eq is vital for me.
So, changing headphones it’s super annoying and hard because a lot of headphone have “bad high frequency”( most of the cheap headset).
But i have a good friend to save me. This friends it’s acctually and eq app for user who have rooted phones or using custom roms. Using these advaced eq is just next level.
Dolby atmos revision, yes, he is my good friend for me and ppl with sibilance. This eq have magiacal powers, you can boost any freq to up 32 db ( oh yeahhh, you can make it super louder), but this isn’t his magic, this eq make some space for all eq, what does these means???? Well if i boost my favorite freq: the sub bass freq range, this eq is going to make space for mids and highs so its not going to get muddy, its doing a so good job that you will be blow away by it. AS a sibilance person, low freq is my precious freq bcs after 6khz it’s painfull for me to lissen, i HATE that, but i have something more, the ppl who boost these freq like crazy and enjoing it, also when a see it also decreasing low freq i’m going crazy :))))).
Now, if i cant listen to those freq what i’m going to do?????
You have a lot of option, first of all its boosting bass to overtook highs, but you gonna loose mids which is not good, or you can hardware mod them( paper toilet mods works best) but how about not wasting mids and highs, converting those bad highs to good highs eliminating that sibilance from that freq range amd enjoying that lovely bass.
To do this you will need some headphones with special signature, flat headphones works good, but i got the best with Soundcore LIfe Q35, these headphones are blessing, these out of the box sounds so good. Using the soudcore app i can set two presets, one for daily use and one for music bcs when i listen music i have totally different sound siganature.
For daily use soundcore signature works good, pretty balanced, i like a more bassy sound but for daily use works just fine. For music preset im going to boost 100hz to max , 200hz to 4.5db ( i dont like it higher), for 400_800 hz boosting to 2.5 db, for 1.6 k to 0 db, for 3.2 k boosted to max, and for 6.5-20 lowering them to max.
But its dosent sound good dude, i know, those highs are decreased to much bcs we will boost them and converting to more clear highs with the second eq.
On dolby atmos revision, you will see an wide freq range to adjust. Before changing anything make sure to enable his magic : volume leveler( this provides us an consistent volume across all content) this means that when you are listening for a music and that song have an voice line so quiet that you can’t rl hear, this eq is going to boost specific freq to be able to hear it like how it is suppose to sound, if its too lound it’s going to lower that specific freq resulting in same consistent volume, the second magic which is the best it’s called dialogue emhancer, this bassically improves the carity of speech in any type of media, its also converting that highs to premium highs, the best part is after enabling this , sibilance it’s gone, this is crazy magic, i can boost highs now to 32db and acctually enjoy it. In the end i boosted bass to arround 20 db and mids and highs a little lower : 15db. I like to mention that if i boost bass to 20 db this eq can boost it even more if needed. It can’t go lower if you set it manually, if i sett it to 12db this is the lowest, also mids and highs are the most boosted and decreassed by this eq, on a normal song for me it’s boosting mids or highs so maximum somethimes its doing it so fast that you will not notice it, you will notice that the volume its consitend nomather what are you boosting. Also, decreasing just a little bit any freq can dramatically change sound stange,( dont worry about that automatically freq ajustement, its just going to mentain that soundstage that you setted.
What are your thoughts on AutoEQ in conjunction with Wavelet?
What i like to do with equalizing in ears or headphones is use a tone generator. You can instantly find the flaws in the frequency response (most flaws are usually in the low and mid treble) The idea is to have a flat frequency response in your ear. Simply find a benchmark frequency (usually 1khz if its flat in the graph) and then try to make the rest of the frequencies the same volume to your ear. Usually bass and mids are fine, its really the part between 1khz – 10khz which is badly tuned in in ears and headphones. This does take a bit of training and you have to find the right volume (usually 45% to 50% volume). The great thing is that you can easily hear peaks and dips with a tone generator so you know what to correct.
We need to hear your review on the Pixel Buds Pro, can’t wait.
Would love to get your opinions and review on the Skullcandy Crusher Evo’s

Plz do a video of jbl live pro 2…
In terms of sound with EQ, how does the Sennheiser’s compare with the Moondrop Blessing 2?
These are my settings after like one week of messing around with the EQ and other settings, I’m a video and audio editor myself btw 🙂
SBC or LDAC codec
AAC is garbage, no frequencies over 15KHz, lots of artefacts, no detail. I really wish these had APTX so I could use them without artefacts on my Macbook Pro, since I cannot force SBC since MacOS 11.
400Hz: -4 (takes away the boomyness)
1K: -1 (less hollow)
2.5K: +2 (more presence)
6.3K: +3 (more treble)
16K: +9 (air)
Clear Bass: -2 or -3 (makes bass more refined and less overpowering)
Additionally on Android to get some extra sub bass:
Bass tuner:
Sustain Compressor
Cutoff: 20Hz
Post-gain: -2dB
Would you test the momentum 4 ?
Hi! I’ve seen those sneaky DT 900’s in the back of a couple of your vids. What are your thoughts on them? Love the content!
3:03 The Flat boosted EQ is messed up. EXTRA BASS does it’s job. It would’ve been bossted flat if it’s on Zero.
Hiiii, can you review the Huawei “freebuds pro 2”, I’m thinking on buying them, but I’d like to see your opinion.
Some one got some tips on EQing the jbl tour ones they are a bit quite
And btw I listen to mostly rap
Awesome content! Patiently waiting for your sound testing on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro!
Do mx5 have physical bass like xm4s?
Or is it audible bass like mid range headphones because of the smaller 30mm drivers?
