Been ownin gen 2 for 3 years now
Ngl the battery life real sucks now at around 2 hours and less if I’m on a call
but at least I took care of them pretty well so there is no wax or any nasty stuff

i’ve had original airpod pros for over three years and still get about 4 hours of battery and have used them for multiple hours pretty much everyday. i heard this when i was first buying airpods and have been very surprised

To be honest, I’m perfectly fine with “wasting” upwards of $200 just for the convenience of my AirPods Pro. They sound waaay better than the outgoing wired EarPods and work seamlessly with all my devices.

The way I think of it is a large portion of that price is the luxury of not having to be confined by a wire with everything I do with airpods. I listen to maybe 2 hours of music a day at most with airpods and usually very active during those 2 hours and they’ve lasted fine for me so far. Still got the 1st gen airpods too. Never had them replaced. But I know eventually I will because batteries degrade over time, especially batteries that small.
