After owning a pair of Razer Krakens, I’m never going to buy a pair of them again. They’re awesome, and I’d recommend them except, the software to use surround sound is really bad. It’s called Razer Synapse, and it has many issues, lots of them to be exact, so you have to shut off the program in some games meaning you get no surround sound. Next time I’m going for real surround sound.

I’m currently using a Logitech G430. I personally think the audio quality is excellent, but the microphone could be better. Not an issue as I plan to get an external microphone soon anyways.

Gaming headset. (Logitech G35)
I use it for movies and games, and it works great.
Gaming headset for me, because I’m not an audiophile, and I like the mic to follow me, so if I move my head, my friends can still hear me.

what a coincidence. i just bought a cheap gaming headset on “ebay” for sheer practicality (no really, i just closed the tab and opened youtube to be greeted with this video). i’m not expecting audio clarity (certainly not to the level of my 450w desktop sound system or my more premium headphone), i just want the convenience of having a fucking microphone attached to my phones.
i hate all head-mounted solutions anyway. anytime i’m not in voice chat, i just use my speakers, which sound amazing and can actually shake the walls if i so desire.
