I used a simple pioneer headphones for a while until i changed to SteelSeries because they fitted my setup with my keyboard and mice, the simple pioneers were a bit better in my opinion.

Loving my V-Moda Crossfade Wireless with the optional boom pro mic. Way better than the 7.1 Gaming headset I used to use.

Gaming headsets with USB are never just plug and play.. some sound terrible without the software, sometimes the mic sounds terrible without the software running, sometimes the mic sounds terrible when you know the software was supposed to be run on startup LIKE EVERY OTHER TIME YOU STARTED UP YOUR PC AND LOGITECH CONTROL PANEL OPENED UP JUST FINE. FUCKING GOD DAMN LOGITECH NEVER AGAIN.

For most people headphones + mic is good. However in rare occasions such as me, this is not possible. I have a very small room and no extra room for a decent mic.

The reason I go for headphones is because I don’t always need a microphone, but mainly, if either the microphone or headphones break, I don’t have to replace them both at once…
