I realized that most gaming headsets just fucking break within the first month, so I avoid them. Cheaper headsets with good sound quality > expensive as ass headsets with lots of other stash in them.

Also mic quality is important for me. SO YOU KNOW. Maybe rather a cheaper good headset + a more expensive mic on the side?

Audio Techina ATH-m50x+FiiO E18 and a Samsong Meteor Mic since I needed something small that would tuck out of the way since I am very limited in my space. Even a boomarm for a mic is to large for my setup. desk barely fits 2 monitors a set of logitech x530 speakers without the rears attached along with my keyboard and mouse+small mousepad that is all that is sitting on my desk. one of my monitos is slightly hanging over the side of the desk as well so yeah. I get great audio quality for pretty much everything with this setup.

I bought the Steel Series H Wireless Headset and I would really like to know, is would a nice pair of headphones paired with maybe an Audio Engine D1 DAC would sound better?

I feel that the headphone + mic is overrated. I had a corsair 1500 for 80-90 € and IT Broke some point so i hooked up my dtx910 which sounded minimal better. this was a headphone for now 60€. I bought 140 € dt 990 and IT didnt Sound any different from the Cheap dtx 910. and Not that mich better than the Headset. ok so i have a 60 € dtx910 so Cheaper than the headset But now i need a 50€ mod mic to communicate and a dac/amp to get the “amazing” sound that all These youtubers and People on the Internet are praising so AT the end i will bei paying about 200€ with my cheaper headphone and about 280 € with my expensive headphone. So Why Not just buy the kingston hyperx Cloud 2 for 80€ which are even Made of real headphones? I hear people saying headsets are so expensive and the headphone + mic + dac/amp is cheaper But how?? some People buy headphones that Cost over 200 or even 300 € just for gaming. I cant imagine the quality to blow me away to justify the prices

I use Bose QC wired phones. They seem to work super fine. Noise canceling and I use them for music and phone calls.
