for anyone who actually gives a shit about sound, you won’t get some shit-tier “gaming” headsets. You’ll invest in some actual headphones and buy a separate mic.

Gaming headsets, or better yet every freaking peripheral and accessory with “gaming” in the name has a bloated price. I ain’t falling for that…
My one year and a bit old A4Tech HS-50 headset do the job pretty well. Decent audio, with only problems noticing on max volume but they are so loud that i always use them at very low levels. Good microphone with good sound for TS3/ Steam/ Skype. And if i’m in a game or listening to music, if i wouldn’t see the door opening i wouldn’t hear if someone walks in to my room and talks to me, that’s how good are at noise isolation. Only fools go for “gaming” hype without proper homework. Oh and they costed like 9.85 euros. I recommend them as i’m very satisfied with their performance and resilience so far.

currently using senhiser swag lord hd555s and a blue yeti and it works nice but at the same time og 3 dolla holla headphone and potato mic works pretty well so gg, not that anyone cares on the internet

I was amused by this video, Listening to it on a pair of quality headphones reveals the poor quality sound lol. Almost like there is a giant industrial fan in the background haha. I did not however hear the same thing on my gaming headset… Case in point I suppose.

I bought myself a Sades headset that had 3.5mm jacks, one mic, one headphone piece. But, it’s amazing, and it doesn’t use any drivers, _and_ has surround sound. They’re amazing and cost only about £17 ($26 ish)

I have the Razer Tiamat True 7.1 Headset and (after some tweaking) sound super good. The mic is alright. Definitely better than most. It gets the job done. Love the headset overall
