I still get flek from friends who see me use my Astro A50’s over my 280 Pro’s or DT990’s (Schiit dac/amp powered) while gaming, but Linus is right. The gaming headsets come with alot of features jamed packed in those gaming cans that I often use. Mic mute button, easy volume control, just all really nice and easy to use.
On another note what would you suggest for open audio set ups studio monitors ( I know you can add a sub to monitors but it be separate ) or fancy sub+speaker?
Blackshark headset is the best I’ve ever used.
If anyone needs a good head set just look up Sades SA‑708. I’ve used them for quite some time and have had no problems with them. They are also cheap, about $20.
“gaming aestethic that some of you might be into”
…shows off a custom case with lightning drawing.
I wis hyou’d have posted this video a few months ago before I went and wasted $300 or whatever it was for the Sennheiser 363D. 🙁
Senheisser 363D is pretty great. I use it on PC and console. However, I’ve always been curious with how a great pair of Headphones and external mic would compare… Maybe my next purchase. Will have to research this further…

Turtle Beach stealth 450, little bit of pop with speach but it is able to go from crystal clear to heavy high range bass, best virtual surround sound I have ever experienced.
THE BEST HEADHPONES U CAN GET. With great mild sound enough bass. ANd a hidden mic inside for a great price TDKwr680
I have G633. It can use both 3.5 and usb. Sounds astonishing and mic.. well mic. It’s really quiet. Don’t know why.
I have a kraken pro and I like it but i don’t know how good it is compared to other headphones in the same price range. Is it good or over hyped
I’m sorry Linus, I know you were going for simple but I just feel like you didn’t explain the issue enough. Also I gotta say, because of all the headset sponsorships I feel like you’re not 100% honest. You didn’t say why just two drivers are simply better in a headphone and only briefly mentioned the bullshit that companies are pulling with tricking people into 7.1 headphones. Also, there’s no such thing as “headsets suited for gaming”. Sound is sound and headphones are just better.

I think my Astro A40s are über great for everything!
Good thing my gaming headset still uses 3.5mm jack and let the better audio chip on mobo do the processing.
Wait so is he talking razers or razors?
This guy is such a freaking loser but the content is okay. It’s not him though it’s the weird sound effects and the odd hand motions he looks like he’s trying too hard to be likable. I guess it’s working though cuz I’m subscribed so you can just ignore all of the above 😂
Normally gaming headsets can have great sound quality for the money. Like a good set of Audio Technica’s can cost well over 100 dollars plus the mic which almost always puts it at about 200. So if you want a good deal, best to go with a gaming headset and just do research on which has best audio quality (if you don’t want to spend 200)
I use a gaming headset with jacks as i dont have room on my desk for a mic
I don’t game as much as I used to nowadays. Recently bought myself,a pair of Audio-Technica MSR7s.
