having a home studio is awesome. full l.d condenser mic with HD studio headphones and rockit 5 monitors for if I wanna get loud :p kinda want a chair mount sub too now XD

II just went from the Logitech g35 headset to external DAC/AMP (Shiiit Stack) , AT-MSR7’s , and the AT2020+ mic. OH MY the sound is so much better , and my mic is crystal clear. I can now tell when my teammates have a cheap headset vs others on good set-ups. Kinda funny how it works out like that.

I bought Audio-Technica ATH M50X studio headphones few months ago and they are fucking great, never going back to gaming headset crap.

Having headphones and a separate mic also have the advantage of not having the microphone 1cm in front of your mouth and not only is that good for reducing breathing sounds, but also the echo of the sound you have because the mic picks up on audio coming from the cans.

been using Logitech USB Headset H390 for over a year now. I’ve had chances to buy “gaming” headsets but the Logitech were cheap, and have great quality sound and a great mic. Literally the only thing wrong with it is if i wear it for to long (by to long i mean for 13 hours without taking them off at all) they start to hurt my ears. I dont see the point in gaming headsets unless you are being payed to wear them or you got them as a gift.

not mentioning weight? I can play up to 5 hours at a time and non gaming headphones are usually too heavy/ too uncomfortable to use for that long
