I agree with the point that all the extra features you get with a gaming headphone and blah blah blah. What i don’t agree is with the point that you cannot use it in combination with another audio card to improve sound quality. If you want (and that’s what I’m doing) is that you attach a 3.5 mm stereo cable to the mic port and the audio port on the sound card and then you tell the mic sound of the sound card (that is actually the sound of the computer) to output though the usb headphones. I’m using a Razer kraken 7.1 but proccesing the audio with a soung blaster x-fi. It’s a world of difference.

I deviated from gaming headset about 3 years ago when I got my Bose Quiet Comfort Noise cancelling headphone. I game on the MMORPG so I tend to game for hours for the raid night. The headphone is very comfy and at times, I forget that I am wearing it. I game in a lousy environment with fans and portable AC unit in my room so noise cancelling works very well with it. I’ve gone thru countless of gaming headset in my life and the Bose lasting longest of all. It still works after 3 years and still comfy. The only thing I have to gripe is the extensive wires. I use detachable MIC with it so I have wires running everywhere.
