what bigscreen should do is use the money they get from the beyond and as dumb as this may sound. make a beyond 2 with inside out tracking and pimax sized lenses, that should be the only upgrades, then you would have a headset with the one of the best lenses, no base stations required and extremely light. this could also be improved with quest pro controllers that have the inside out tracking on them to make it so all you need is a pulley system and a strong cable

It sounds nice but the one size fit only is a massive deal killer. I might not show off my VR to many people like you but when I do, I need it to fit others as well. The evolution of VR has seems to be two steps forward, one step back. One thing gets many things right but also many things wrong. I’m still waiting for THE VR HEADSET but there isn’t one yet and there may never be one but hopefully, one day we’ll get one very close to it.

Already having an Index, this looks like a great upgrade. I already have base stations and knuckles controllers and this headset with the audio head strap (assuming the speakers are as good as the ones on the Index) would be fantastic. Pushing for a good mic was definitely good. I rely on the Index mic being good enough for broadcast and just to be clearly heard. I might miss the FoV of the Index but I’m not fussed about eye or face tracking. I use VR a lot to offer people in VRChat mental health support, so long wear comfort is important. I bought prescription lenses for the Index which cost over £100 so the fact that the Big Screen HMD comes with them as standard narrows the effective price gap a little. One question though… how easy is it to clean the face gasket? It needs to be hand washable in warm antibacterial soap.

This looks amazing especially since I wouldn’t require my glasses and I like my headset light. But it’s way to expensive for me especially considering I don’t have base stations or controllers for basestations

It’s gunna take a helluva amazing headset from someone else to change my mind about this one now. Finally! Some love for full body tracked PC VR.
If you can fix eye tracking, given that’s our only real major issue with this thing, I am going to start saving for it immediately!

OLED is hard to beat, micro OLED is a game changer. This looks cool, but so many hang ups and cost. Still really cool.

Well. It sounds good if they really deliver maximum in this 999usd and it will be the same 999 EUR in Europe because usually it’s not. Also … Controllers :D. If add controllers and base stations i would personally be interested for the 999 EUR price

Still i don’t really understand why should it be this small if it is no way something you will take on a trip cause it requires base stations and PC. I would prefer PC VR of the size of pico with normal display port connection, not type c they put everywhere nowadays.
