This is an amazing solution, however I always have reservations about any company scanning, storing, and utilizing facial scan data. Unless they have a watertight EULA for it, I’d rather just have a generic face interface rather than having that information out there.

Have Bigscreen made any official statements about how they intent to protect their customers facial scan data?

sounds like a very expensive, niche, and low volume as in number of units, with each unit needing custom tailoring. They should add some sort of user adjustment and make it more universal…. Otherwise its gonna be pricy…. And with it being so niche, I am worried about software support if the project gets dropped. Definitely something I would not invest in personally

I think its a huge step forward. Honestly I can’t wait, I don’t think I’d buy one for myself (Can’t afford it financially) but I’m looking forward to the future and seeing what comes of it. Honestly the custom specs are AMAZING from someone with glasses.

I’ve considered using a vr headset instead of monitors a few times… This is very tempting. The screen door effect has always turned me away, as I code and like my text to be small. Having such a high resolution would be amazing for covering my wall with monitors

what kind of garbage is this? $1000, no built in audio, no inside out tracking, fixed ipd, you have to buy base stations and controllers separately. this is not worth what they want for it. This thing should be priced at $150 or less.

Looks really impressive, really happy to see VR form factor finally becoming smaller. I think the next step is to start making VR more affordable, cause I can’t imagine this going further than the enthusiast market.

i sorta dont like the custom fit
cuz what if ur prescription is still changing or ur starting hrt and your face shape changes
it dosent seem like the best idea unless ur sure both wont change any time soon
