Yeah the custom made only for me is a huge turn off. My favorite thing is to share VR when I can. Which is admittedly rare but something I am unwilling to give up. If this was much MUCH cheaper I’d consider it.

Also the mic is good because it is wired. Even the super cheap headphones with a wired connection are vastly better than wireless. Learned that from Dankpods 😄

The bigges burden about this is that you need an IPhone for the 3D scan because I you dont have one, you have to organize one first.
I don’t know anyone here who has an iPhone and the nearest apple store is like 170 km away.

Honestly wish is was the Deckhard everyone has been testing for 2 years. This is great for the future of VR but not great for consumers who want an Oculus alternative standalone/PCVR HMD in the immediate future.

awesome headset! But i just got myself the quest 2 and would buy it but i would wait until some other companies join the ride of ultra small headsets to ensure the idea is a great one

I’m not sure which one to buy, the Crystal or this one. If the fov was only over 100 degrees, I would have bought it without any hesitation.

Is there any black smearing with the oled panels? That is something I’ve noticed on every oled device I’ve had and it was especially hard to ignore on the original oculus rift.

I am actually very excited for this. I have original vive headset and I love pc vr. I’ve upgraded the controllers and really was waiting for something like this for the headset. The weight of headset hurt gives me a headache so I needed something lighter. I also want something that has pass through for ar. But I think that’s going to be a more portable device that is separate.

@ThrillSeeker how do you think is it best so far way to have virtual display? Is it good enough to write code? How big of the display it would be? Any recommendations of alternatives for such use case? Can it be connected to mac as “huge screen” while on the go?

If they sold an “accessory pack belt” with battery, a simple processor just responsible for displaying a menu to connect to a computer and a wireless antenna, it could become a wireless monster.
