Wow! 127 grams. Now that is finally exactly what i was hoping for!
Im still on a HTC Vive because i wanted a smaller HMD.
Though the european price on their preorder site is 1.369,00€.
Even calculating in exchange rates (1.078,00€) that is quiet a bit more expensive.
.

I hope they adjust it a little bit.

Tbh the tracking part bothers me, as with my HP unit I never needed to have fixed stations.
And the sound part is also a bummer for me, I don‘t like to wear headphones, it kinda breaks the immersion for me.

And still I crave this beauty ❤❤❤

Damn it sucks that for Europe this price literally jumps up 400 USD. This would be perfect for my situation where my Valve Index HMD starts to die out and I am looking for an better replacement…But I can’t justify to myself paying 6,5k PLN when a full Index Kit is 4,6k PLN and a standalone replacement of an HMD (which is sadly out of stock) would cost me 2,4k PLN…. Still hoping that Valve announces a new headset in the price point of Index so I can get an upgrade for a reasonable price… 😥

IMHO PC VR is the way forward for power users. For decades we have detached peripherals from the processors in the PC space and when you need to be future proof or just need horse power having the processor separate just makes sense. in my head the quest is like my phone, i can do emails and stuff sure but when I have proper work to do I need my desktop PC.

And this is where for me PC VR has been lacking, I find the vive, and quest to be heavy and uncomfortable for long sessions and I end up having cables cause power and compressed data just makes sense. so yeah I’d rather have this, with my preferred peripherals (like I choose my KB & mouse)

This is exciting stuff Thrill

I want something like this, except wireless. I don’t need it to be standalone, I can wear an additional battery in my pocket for power supply, for example, but the connection to my PC should be wireless.

I think you also missed another big downside- unless you own an iPhone (and specifically XD or later) then you can’t actually get the measurements done to customise it… Or are they planning to offer for android or other ways to do this as well?
