Looks very good. Sad: EUR 1.4k in Austria. For me, it’s plus two additional face cussions and at least one additional set of lenses… Very personal thing, not a family headset, and sadly too expensive for me personally. But I appreciate that they open up a new market with this form factor. Maybe, in a couple of years, this format will be affordable here as well.

A standalone version of this would be insane! Why not keep it as is but have a battery and processor unit attachment on the back, that connects to the screen on the front (which is DisplayPort anyway). Best of both worlds, and you can remove the back when you just want to play PCVR.

A headset this cool makes everyone who sees it say “can I try?!” And the answer is, “no.”

I think it’s a mistake to be so exclusive to the user. Instead, offer the headset with

1) non prescription lenses with IPD adjustment
2) a generic universal face seal

With the purchase, offer additional options such as a custom fit face seal, and magnetic “snap on” lens correctors.

Doing it that way you get the smallest high end new era vr headset ever made, which PEOPLE CAN TRY.
Only pcvr enthusiasts will buy this and due to small decisions which can still be implemented, just not as default, this headset will sell less because less people will be able to try it.

In other words, literally no one else can use mine if my glasses prescription is built in. That’s a bad idea. Imagine instead I just snap off the magnetic lens cover and magnetic face seal and you’re good for your turn to play. That’s way better.

Like if you agree, I might be alone.

Looks amazing and uOLED yes, yes and yes.
Love it being custom and 1Kusd is awesome, I have controllers and base stations need the headstrap and prescription inserts is all.

Another step forward but a few steps back at the same time. Disappointing. Need much better FoV, has to be wireless and inside-out tracking.
