I hope it’s a success. Even though I am not a steamVR power user, this is the direction I want standalone VR to go. High res, light weight, high FOV (Beyond doens’t haver this) and under $1000 with controllers.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the Index? It’s now almost 4 years old and STILL the GOAT Headset you can get overall. The controllers are still the golden standard.

Is it just this good or is every new headset we see like every month just this bad?

If they just upgraded the resolution and lenses, the index would be absolutely perfect!

That thing is innovative!
My issue with that thing is that I don’t trust my phone cameras to track my ugly face to such a detail that BigScreen can make the proper mask for my eyes and stuff.
Otherwise, a grand is fine given what we have here.

i like them, 1k isnt too far out there for this kinda tech, i only play PCVR so wires dont bother me but im not keen on base stations but i could prob get over that with it being so small. thanks.
