I like working on 3d sculpting on my quest over pcvr. This would be perfect for that. I could sculpt for so much longer without the strain that eventually comes with the quest. It was also cool seeing the shots of the pre production models and recognizing that they’re resin printing the prototype parts. Unfortunately $1000 without controllers and base stations is well out of my price range and probably will be for the foreseeable future. Hopefully something else will come along in the future that champions these same types of features but a bit lower price bracket.

11:09 bruh as a person who cleans the lenses every single time before use and is kinda ocd careful not to scratch them, watching this hurts! just curious, did you actually scratch the lenses of the quest when you did that? (btw, the bigscreen beyond looks AMAZING!)

This is a really cool headset, i was kinda turned off by the fov but hearing you say you don’t mind it gives me more confidence in this, i hope this is good, a small headset like this would be great. I do like the 120hz on the index buut honestly 90hz isnt too bad either, and its native steam vr wich is always nice, and yeah i see thought of the same thing, how many times have i actually put someone else in my index and if you already have another headset that wouldn’t be a problem. This is a very exciting product.

You are going to think I’m crazy but I want to know how this display compares to the HTC Vive display. It’s pretty much the only headset that has an OLED display. Specifically how the brights and darks compare on each headset.

@ThrillSeeker if they upload the app to the F-droid repository, and perhaps make a Tarball for GNU systems, and create a contract with the buyer that stipulates that they will not hold onto, nor spread; the facial data beyond the manufacturing process, and also the firmware for the headset is free that I may audit it and make sure it is not spooky; then I am game. Otherwise I will be skeptical.

Sounds great but my eye prescription changes over time. In fact normally around every two years. Not buying a new headset every two years!

This headset look awesome and would love to buy one, but it’s yet another expansive pcvr headset. Market chould do with a lower cost pcvr headset.
