1000 dollar for tether vr no thanks rather get pimax crystal
this is great
Any info about people with prescription glasses ?! Do they provide custom solution
ReadyPlayer 1 bouta become real
this looks like nearly the perfect vr set to me, i only ever play pcvr and my rift cv1 is barely surviving, with how small it is i think ill save up and get the base stations, knuckles, and this
Am I the only one who dows not like lighthouse headsets? Not because of quality etc, but because of the limitaions…installing, not mobile, cables.
I’d need to have more than 90 HZ before i buy a new headset
One big issue. Im 6’5, the quest 2 feels like nothing on me
great
For something that light and small, it’s worth an investment for a quiet just like me who has been looking to upgrade anyway
I would absolutely love this if it was a mobile device. I mean, it looks very portable, but since you need to be wired to a PC as well as base stations, you can’t exactly use it to watch movies on a flight or bring it with you while travelling etc. I’m usually a but annoyed that every headset coming out are focusing on standalone rather than PCVR, but in this case I actually wish there was standalone function or perhaps a phone tether or similar. The custom fit though, is very cool. But personally, weight and size have never been an issue with other hmds. So, I’m more excited about the Pimax Crystal, even though this really looks like a right step towards the future of vr! Just imagine when something like this will have the fov like a Pimax and be wireless. That will happen eventually.
No face tracking, no eye tracking, you need almost a full valve index kit, it’s only personalized to you and not for others and it’s a 1000 dollars for something so small? It may be costomized to your eyes but damn that is not a 1000 dollars worth, It may be higher quality but if that’s it then it’s the most disappointing headset yet. It’s more expensive than the vive headset at this point and they even come with more these days.
I don’t think this is a headset worth looking at if that’s the price of the headset only. Especially for something so small. It almost seems like a more business oriented price than consumer price.
If vive has a better offer for price to amount of stuff you get and vive is considered waaay to expensive. Then I feel like you’re doing something wrong. We seriously need to get away from these thoussnd dollar prices. Especially if it’s vr headset only that does not come with features we have been asking for since 2018. Even the pico neo does better than this for pricing. The factor of it being so small also does not grant the overly steep pricetag.
VR today and three years ago was marketed as things you do IRL will be tracked in game: full body, facetracking, eyetracking and so on.
If you then charged the 1000 dollar price then maybe i’d understand. But if even the quest can go at lower price WITH those features then this headset seems more like a joke than anything. Costomizable to your eyes? Great…. But once it’s done no one can wear your headset which also defeats another purpose of sharing VR.
This headset seems waaaay to confident in its price and it’s a little over the top to call it great. I see more disadvantages than advantages and it seems like it’s been developed whole not knowing what the VR market has been asking for. It seems more like a great cash in for people with glasses and bad eyesight than anything.
I am always on the fence for new headsets because the Index’s audio is _so_ good. But once I saw that audio strap you had my attention.
Somehow I have a feeling that I will be still using my Rift S after this.
When are you going to take off the mask, gaymo?
Bruh $1000 for a headset that you need to scan your face for, only for it to come with no controllers, basestations or sound. Im sure its revolutionary for index using big spenders with monster PCs and giant empty rooms to play in.
You changed the thumbnail… I thought you uploaded another video 🙁
Small boi
The fov is a complete deal breaker
As someone with a full index setup and 4 base stations this has me totally excited! The bulkyness and weight of the index hmd has always been my biggest complaint about it and to think I could get something like this is amazing!
