Definitely ‘cool’ but as always, some downsides that can be real dealbreakers. One issue preventing people from going all in for the Varjo Aero, for examples, is the lack of built in audio. Obviously they are set to release a deluxe audio strap for this, but that is a MAJOR thing to be missing from an HMD this many years later. Lacking eye/face tracking is whatever, and might be relevant if everyone else ends up adding it in their next generations.
Ultimately the facial interface is the deal breaker for me. Not just because I don’t use an iphone, but because of sweat during beat saber (or other intensive games). I REALLY hope they reconsider and make a generic facial interface, and maybe allow IPD adjustment with an allen key or something. It’s clearly still a modular component, so it can be replaced, and a generic facial interface should be fine with how light this HMD is.

this looks literally like a visor you can get in cyberpunk 2077 and that alone aesthetically is extremely pleasing to me in this dystopian future we live in, I need it something bad especially with custom prescription lenses so I don’t need glasses at all for it from the get go, it’s small practically weightless, good mic, etc can’t wait to see how the final product comes out, I been eyeing all other headsets coming out but this one by far ticks all the boxes for me personally in a headset.

Damn this might be my next headset if they come to market soon… I’m blown away by the personal fitment, specs and superior tracking.
We’ll see what valve does but this is definitely on the radar.

Wait I think im getting the math wrong but how could you possibly have used the value index for 77,000 hours? That would be 3,208 day, or 8.8 years? And the value came out in 2019. At least it says that on google. But even if it came out 2014, it would still mean you played it non stop 24/7. That makes no sense!

If I had the money, time, and pc for this I would definitely be getting it. VR is one of the things I am very excited and passionate about, although my first experience was a rift s, then a quest, I own a quest 2 and I’ve played on a vive once I believe.

Considering that for years you could’ve mounted a smartphone to a custom case worn over the eyes, and it would have had all the features of a bulky VR headset (including motion tracking) this is an idea that’s long overdue.
