No doubt there will be aftermarket facial interfaces that will accommodate anyone, albeit less precisely. I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a hack to adjust the physical IPD, too.

Id be interested to see if taking this idea and making it more of a modular kit could decrease the cost and make it more accessible. So those that already have the setup can print their own case and possibly tweak the IPD. Also an external standalone processing unit for wired headsets seems like a niche i havent seen filled yet

Like that strap looks horrid, it would slide in on my head and hurt. The audio being on ear makes me dread the strap. I’m too used to the index strap.

I like that there’s more competition. In about 10 years we should have something this size with the functions of other ones.
For now I’ll bet that most people will keep using other models, but I want to see how for they can push the size down for these devices. With the Quest it got almost to the point of making it a real normal people device.

I think the biggest thing I’d be worried about with this headset is if the facial interface would be long enough to fit my eyelashes. I find that even with a 3rd party interface on my quest, my eyelashes still touch the lenses sometimes. would this headset have an add-on to push the facial interface further out, or would that mess up the ipd? could I ask them to design it longer, maybe measure my eyelashes somehow

Wow, I’ve really been wondering if all the extra crap was taken out of a headset how small it could be realistically. It’s just too darn bad that it’s priced so high. For myself in a household where there’s five people that play VR, getting personalized fit kit and lenses becomes absolutely unattainable. We all use a pimax 5k super right now.

OK, so I’m not a VR user at all. However, I’ve been keeping an eye on the headsets. I love my PC Games, and this headsets has my attention more so than any other. I’ve been waiting for a headsets to specialize, and it finally happened. This might be my first VR headset.

Another thing on the custom-made is that you change constantly, so you would have to at least reorder the foam and lenses semi regularly.

As cool as it is, it’s an incredibly stupid way of selling it, ups should be adjustable and the custom foam should be an optional addon, this is not only going to make it more expensive, but also a production nightmare, you can’t scale production with personalized stuff .

And like if you were actually doing Q&A with them you should know that lol, even if you barely share the device, you still like showing it to people.

Other than that, it’s really cool yeah
