The reason why PC VR headsets are usually big is that conventional optics need space.

This feels like the first headset that could actually immerse me enough to play VR frequently. I love VR, but don’t play often because wearing a headset just isn’t very comfortable or convenient to just slip on. The barrier to play tends to be too high, so my headset often sits there. But this doesn’t look like a headset. These are goggles, VR goggles. And with it being custom to your face it would have to be the most comfortable headset out there, and that would actually get me excited to just slip it on and play. Sadly the last barrier is the price. TOTALLY understandable, but its just way more than I could ever afford to spend. But something like this makes me hopeful for the future.

This is a really cool direction, but I won’t be able to use anyting with base stations for at least a few years. Can’t wait to see where PCVR will go in the next few years.
