O_O holy fucking shit, dude, I use quest 1, I don’t have eyetracking or body tracking, I don’t need that stuff x’D
Base stations needed 🙁
Especially my what 13:34
It seriously took em this long to think of this????
Anyway, I like the idea, but I’m not a huge fan of all the tailor made stuff. I don’t need all that. I just want a simple PCVR headset that isn’t also a console for some reason.
That’s really damn cool that they’re taking notes from an actual VR user and enthusiast with tons of hours, who knows their stuff and what the community wants
If i had the money i would buy one, still need to get a pc though
glasses are not meant to be shared as well
Thank you for this amazing video and BigScreen for working on products like this.
I started using Rift S on my PC and bought it at release for 450 bucks.
The sponge-like foam was the most comfortable VR facecover I ever used till today, but it got unpopular for hygienic reasons and I cant find anything like it or as comfortable for my Quest 2.
I changed my Rift S for my Quest 2 when the latter released, using it stand-alone and for PCVR.
I used it wired for 2 years and am using it wireless with my WiFi6e PC and WiFi6-router since then.
My biggest issue with VR by far is the comfort, so Im really looking forward to new products like these.
I got my Quest 2 for 350 bucks and would buy this barebone VR-HMD for 500 bucks, but 1k for a minimalistic product like this is way too much.
I hope there will be more products like these from many companies in the future, if someone read till this point, I am really open to suggestions regarding comfort.
Between all upcoming products, I am most interested in the new Valve VR HMD > Quest 3 > PSVR2
Also I would buy a Duelist Kingdom / Battle City high quality VR game in a heartbeat.
As someone without base stations or controllers that’d work with it, I’m definitely one of the people that’s outside of the target audience. Which is a shame because it ticks so many of the boxes I want from an upgrade, it’d just be way too expensive. Comfort has been my biggest issue with VR, even after a lot of upgrades and mods to my Quest 1.
Hopefully there will be more light weight headsets like this soon. A light headset with inside-out tracking and wireless PCVR support would be my dream headset.
i could see this being huge in the sim racing scene
I want to buy it… it’s $1k and I already lost $550 investing in Arpara, which I probably will never receive. It would suck if this never got delivered too lol
FOV?
Edit: oh it’s 90 :-/
ok, this definitely has my attention, especially after learning they make it with your prescirption.
What about other headsets like the arpara 5k
So your telling me the colors/lens are better than a varjo? yo I might be SOLD on this!
@6:38… WAIT a minute…. were you using airPods MAX with vr?!?!?!? i ask because i just got mine and if i can use them for a audio in vr OMG lol
This is a great direction. The cost is a no-go for me, but, understandable given the bespoke nature of each custom unit.
Unfortunately, I need the wide FOV, any less then my vertigo acts up
11:20 that size difference is wild, the future will be small and powerful
Yes like many others here… ADD mini, full WIRELESS SUPPORT as an option! So you can play PCVR without wireless – small and wireless is truly the next real plateau.. and good FOV!
