this looks amazing and like a huge upgrade since i have a quest 2 and ive hated having my playtime cuz because of battery life and ive always wanted to play pcvr without compression this is defiantly the next vr headset ill buy when i can afford it

The iPhone part bugs me. I don’t know anyone close that would be willing to download an app onto their newer high end iPhone for a face scan. Most people have Android or an older iPhone

Like you said… for people that already know they are into pcvr and have base stations and controllers (i.e. myself) that price tag is worth it. I am so glad you were able to talk about this. I think this would be a better purchase over the yet to be proven wireless adapter for the index.

Thrill, if your reading this I have a question for you. I’m sure you will be getting the wireless adapter for your index to review it but if you didn’t have this channel and didn’t feel obligated to get it to review for us would you pass it up and get this headset? it seems like that may be the case from what I’m seeing. Follow up lightning round bonus question: Pully systems with this… looks like it could be a potential issue with how light the headset is. Any thoughts?

This possibly is my next headset – finally possible to use it as a pc screen, with good resolution. I was hoping quest pro would have better resolution but they failed on that. This is what I have been waiting for. Now I will be able to use quest2 for gaming and this for work. It would be awesome if they had some decent mapping like the one varjo is working on, so I could map my cup keyboard and mouse and see it while in vr

If it had a wireless option and didn’t require and Iphone to do the scan, I could see myself buying it. I have a pulley system for my Index and Pimax, but I am on the quest 2 for most activities other than simming. And I don’t know anybody close by that uses and Iphone to do the scan.

ngl, I might upgrade to this in the future, I’ve been using the quest 2 and I like it, so the fov doesnt matter to me, but appearance is a large deal for me. Waiting for that full review for sure.
