I’ve experienced issues with it plugged in the front as well. I was still connected but the light on the transmitter was flashing and the sound quality got very muffled

I’ve tried using it in the back and the signal was worse. I would lose signal at times and sound was worse. But using it in the front the signal is clear and stronger. So definitely wrong to use it on the back end

John: I’ve been using a USB 3.0 hub connect to the rear of the PS5. Everything from the wheel, controller and headset are connected to the hub and it’s worked great. Nothing is connect to the front of the PS5.

Solution B. GET A HARD WIRE HEADSET. IT IS MUCH BETTER ANYWAY. Turtle Beach makes some pretty good ones and you can use them for other devices instead of just the PS5.

My dumbass cat loves to rub his gums on/chew on all of my stuff, which is why I have to plug mine into the back. Also, I put a dust cover on my ps5 when not using it and using the back USB I don’t have to unplug my headset transmitter everytime.

I have a pulse 3D and have been plugging the dongle into one of the USB ports on the back of my PS5 and have never had an issue, maybe its because my PS5 does that proper air ventilation as it is not surrounded by anything but perhaps to be proactive i will start plugging it into the front
