Just use a wired headset no overheating issues, no dongle mess, and you get superior quality to boot. Usually cheaper too.

Yeah I’ve had my audio cut out a shit ton from the back usbs and I ended up switching it to the front and haven’t had cutting out of audio since. I’ll give it to Xbox, their headset connection without an adapter is much better.

I use the front USB for my dongle, and I put an Xbox360 duel fan on the back of the PS5 exterior (made a lil frame to hold it up and suck out the hot air a lil more because the side panels were getting hot as fudge) and that seemed to help.

I learned this whenever I had a hard time using my wireless keyboards because of direct line of sight with devices, therefore I plug them on the front, I wanted to get the pulse 3d headphones but I’m sold!!

USB extension cable… iirc the one I have isn’t even an actual extension cable. I just took off the metal part of a normal usb a to usb a cable and that plugs into the dongle and acts as an extension.

The light on the Dongle kinda gives it away. It’s suppose to be seen at the front. I made the mistake of plugging it in the back and audio would always drop out. Plugged it in the front and no problems since.

Not convinced, I prefer to plug it on backside, I have plenty of space, besides putting it in front is more susceptible to get broken with accidental movements of anyone in-front of PS5

Speaking of wireless headsets… has anyone ever experienced bad internet connection when using a wireless headset? I bought wireless Astros and had to return them because everytime I plugged them in my connection would get worse making MP games unplayable. That made zero sense to me but since I went back to a wired Astro headset I have had no issues. My internet is great and bluetooth shouldnt cause wifi issues but man did it mess mine up

Or just buy a usb hub port. Solves the problem and ps5 setup will have a cleaner look
