i use a usb 3.0 extension cable plugged in the back…it allows my dongle to face front and, not over heat …..sound quality just as good as direct port

Another solution is to use a ‘usb dongle stand’, they are super cheap and allow you to place the dongle anywhere while still keeping them connected into the back of your console.

I connected my ps headset dongle to the rear using a short usb 3.0 (20cm) cable. Problem solved.

I have Logitech G733 headset and I’m having issues with the microfone capture.
when I use voice chat it just works bad and my friends don’t hear me properly.
do you think this is an issue with the console or with the headset ? can Sony somehow “not support” other companies, so you get frustrated and buy their headset ?

So solution: just plug it in the front…. I use the Razer Blackshark which has great sound with ps5 and my pc, battery last long and its very comfortable

its pretty simple get a usb hub 3.0 for the front side nough saaid! 4 usb ports and usb c case closed. like 20€ or so. the back is not suitable for those things this is logica, friends.

The SteelSeries ones for the PS5 by FAR have the best dongle. Small type C that sits almost flush.

Get a usb extension cord and go from the back port and blue tack it to the side of ps5.
