You could also use a USB extension cable in the back, then you can place the dongle almost anywhere, these wireless dongles work on PC and even on android mobiles using a USB to USB-C adaptor 🙂

my steelseries has to be plugged into the back .if i plug it in the front it doesnt recognize it.

I have a Turtle Beach Stealth 700. I’ve had it since 2017 for my PS4. It works perfectly without issues with PS5.

I bought myself a USB-C elbow with a USB-C to USB-A converter so that my dongle is pointed down. Doesn’t affect sound quality or lag whatsoever.

this happened on my pc with the official xbox wireless controller usb dongle. It kept disconnecting and i figured out it was wayy too hot in the back of my pc, and that was the reason. Moved it to the front, never had a problem since

Steel Series Arctis 1 is the best choice in my opinion. You get a regular USB adapter and type C dongle. Since the 5 has both you can use either the adapter or dongle. I plug in the adapter to my PC and the actual dongle in the type C of the 5. I can go from one platform to another in a couple seconds.

my console lies flat, and the dongle I put on a short , maybe 10cm, usb extension onto the back USB3 port, so lies flat next to the console . no issues

This happened for a while when I used my Arctis 7 headphones that has a wireless transmitter. Noticed this while playing Returnal. Every once in a while as I played the tower, the audio would cut out for half of second as I transported in the portal or something. I thought it was the game as Returnal had some issues before with audio glitches. It was annoying only because I knew it could occur lol. Then I put the transmitter in the front and had no cut out at all throughout the session.

I put 2 and 2 together and thought I a had a bad rear port which worried me. So I looked it up and found this video. It all makes sense, im relieved. Funny enough I use to use the front usb for audio all the time but got nervous that I would or someone one damage it somehow so I started using the rear port exclusively.

I recommend ear buds I hate headsets they always give me discomfort TBH or just the PS5 controller is fine for me .to much bulk in headsets.im not in the air force 😂😂😂😂
