Lol naaaah the best headset I’ve used on ps5 is hands down arctis 7p+ they sound amazing and I only have to charge them like once a week with heavy game play

I use a PlayStation 4 platinum headset for my ps5 and it ONLY connects at the front USB port

I plugged my Pulse headset in the back when the console first launched and it kept overheating and the dongle would shut itself off so the headset lost connection until I unplugged it and had it cool off. It seems like after some kind of firmware update last year it never overheated again and I’ve been using it plugged into the back ever since with no issues. I assumed it was maybe an issue with the USB port at the time, because my console isn’t blocked in the back and when the dongle got hot, it was like it was internally hot and not hot from air getting blown on it

Some of the stuff is so obvious it’s ridiculous. Why would anybody go behind the PlayStation five to put the audio dongle sticking out the back where I can pick up interference from everything else that’s back there including your router and everything else behind the television.? Maybe lol put it in the front and if your PlayStation is that close to people bumping into it maybe you should move it back so that the shelf protects the dongle. Or keep morons away from your PlayStation five

#QUESTION I have a PS4 USB headset that work with the PlayStation 5 or do I need to buy a new handset for the PlayStation 5 pacifically ????? My PlayStation 4 headset does work still don’t know if the PS5 is compatible with my USB headset ?????

I’d recommend plugging a wire from your headset to controller, noticeably better sound quality that way.

Hmm, I think the best solution is get like a small short USB extension cable of quality and let it lay behind someplace away from the heat.
Personally I wouldn’t like it in the front, and I like the front to be available for quick access if ever needed.
Get like a 5 to 10 inch extension cable that should also solve the issue in concept if the cable is of quality.
