What about the hdmi cable?
Which headset do you recommend for the Ps5?
I use the Arctic Pro, which at first was using the USB port in the front. But then it became annoying having to reconfigure the headset for ise with the Xbox X. I just use the controller jack input for both, instead.
I think if there were some kind of splitter where you could tap into the HDMI signal from, then I’d prioritize that configuration for headphones.
For the meantime, c’est la vie.
I have mine on the back, my pulse headset drops out quite a bit. I don’t want to put it on the front cause little hands will break it, may need to invest in a USB extender and blue tack it to the wall behind. Never even occurred to me it could be a heat issue.
I had it connected on the back since I bought it, and never a problem, that was until recent updates a couple of days ago.
This almost certainly has absolutely nothing to do with heat, modern electronics typically can withstand up to 70°C before any issues arise and the PS5 exhaust is far below that.
I was about to say I have to start using the back lol. I’ve always put it in the front
I never even knew that you could put the USB Dongle in the back, I have always used my PS5 Pulse headset dongle at the front
me watching this without a ps5 and all ps5 usersi n the comments commenting
Use the back port with a USB cable extender, best of both worlds..
Another fantastic tip. Great video!
I haven’t experienced this issue myself, but it makes sense.
I had this issue before, but I’m iffy about the dongle sticking out of my ps5. So I bought a USB connector that I can plug in the back of my ps5, but also the dongle will be in front of my tv stand. Ever since I did that haven’t had any issues.
I plugged my USB into the back and it broke inside the port. Tweezers can’t even pull it out. Now I’m down a USB port.
Yea all 5 people should know this
Get a USB 3 extension cable. Trust me, it works great.
I don’t think I’m going to move the dongle infront because im always using the dust cover after playing games
It blows my mind that a Bluetooth tech system even needs a dongle
Just get a usb extension and run the dongle up high. You will get better signal and no heat issues
Mine still cuts out all the time with different headsets even in the front. Didn’t matter which port I used.
I have not experienced this but I had some issues with the network cable. I believe due to the heat coming out from the exhaust vents the cable disconnected and the connection was interrupted. I was using a flat network cable though. I changed to a regular cable and I have not experienced the problem anymore
