Wouldn’t using a short usb extension cable solve this problem? Which I haven’t experienced myself.

I’ve never understood this design choice for consoles. All of them are like this. The way consoles are designed is that you’ve always got a situation where the cooling vents are blowing out heat toward your power cable, Ethernet cable, HDMI cable, etc. Why on earth anybody thought this was a good design choice is beyond me. I’ve had situations (with most consoles) where the tip of my Ethernet cable had gotten so hot you are unable to touch it.

it’s actually rediculous that you still need the dongle for using the sony ps5 headset (IT WAS MADE FOR THIS) with the PS5,
the hardware to connect your headphones (designed for PS5) to your PS5 system should’ve already been inside the machine… now i can understand there will be a dongle needed in some other cases when for example you want to use the headphones with some other device… would’ve been better to give people a choice/an option whether they want it with the dongle or not…. luckily i never use a headset, always play with sound on and am not really that into online gaming anymore (2 much time consuming)

I use a usb hub from the back of my console secured to the back of my entertainment unit. The dongle is plugged into that with zero issues

I connected my Bose headset through bt with my tv and it works fine. Latency is acceptable. I normally use the headset that plugs in the controller.

Been plugging it in up front but my audio kept cutting out. I had to get usb-c adapter and plug it in there. Now it works.

I used PlayStation headset only until recently got me those A20 for Christmas and I never said this before but they’re actually better than my old PS gold I’m glad to hear that they’re good for the PS5 for when I get one

Yea I have mine in the back and haven’t had any problem yet. I keep my charging cable plugged in the front so I’m cool wit it in the back!!

I have steelseries 7p and the dongle has a wire about 10in long with the transmitter on the end so I just run it around to the front and tuck it in against the front of the ps5.

I plug my USB port for my pluse headset into the front of my ps5 and use my phone charger to charge my headset and controller 😎

I mean if u still wanna plug the USB dongle in the back just get a USB extension so the heat won’t fuck with it there u go problem solved
