I’ve owned Bose QC’s before (the 35) and Sony’s (the XM3’s) and loved them both, but man, once I heard the Apple AirPod’s Max, though the hefty cost, the sound is a whole other stratosphere than the Bose and Sony’s, just incredible soundstage from the AirPod Max’s.

PSA!!! be careful eith Bose audio drivers. They overruled the windows audio, focusrite scarlett solo drivers and it was a process to remove the bose driver from my pc.

I dont know what the bose audio driver is doing with the permissions and priorities but it took front seat to all over drivers i had. It caused weird af driver conflicts.

With every year that passes, the less I’m able to take Bose headphones or audio gear seriously as an option. For the price range their products are in, they’re absolutely doing the bare minimum for their category and compared to competitor products. For every product Bose makes I can find multiple comparable but better options.

Bought qc35 II this summer, tried them at work. a office landscape. they let unfortunately all sounds in. ppl could hear voices from co-workers sitting long away from me=(
should have waited for qc45 🙂

how do they handle sound delay when on BT? On my QCii it’s hard to watch for example guitar players on YT, because of the delay the image and sound are disconnected. Same for gaming, you need to use a wire. I know that this depends mostly on the codec used and processing power. Do QC 45 improve on that?

I feel like the comfort of the Bose (35 II) vs the Sony’s is astronomically different. Maybe it’s just me but the Sony headphones are good for about an hour or two and then they become unwearable. The bose I wear all day long, 4, 5, 6+ hours before they start to bother me. Just my experience, I thought the Sony’s sounded better and had better noise cancelling though.

My 700 lost its noise cancelling properties after a few months, dropping at least 30% to 40% after less than a year of daily use for about 10 hours as a writer living in a noisy environment which is unacceptable for me suffering from misophonia. I will be claiming repair, and btw, the official Bose service only repairs and does not refund money, at least in Europe. I should add that my second most important criterion for choice was battery life. The firmware update was supposed to fix issues such as losing bluetooth signal, but after the upgrade, it only got worse.
