Yeah, fake leather on 300$ headphones, nice joke
I’ve owned two of the Sony’s, the QC 35, and now the QC 45. I think the Sony is the best overall, but I think the QC 35 was the most comfortable and best looking headphones I’ve ever had. Noise cancellation definitely better on the Sony. My reason for picking up the QC 45 was it was on sale on Amazon for $250, and in this class, that’s probably the biggest deciding factor is price because they’re all so close in performance and comfort that price (or brand loyalty) is what you have to go with. My first Sony and my first QC 35 both broke, my second Sony and my QC 45 are doing well.
Owning the NC700, the QC25 and QC35 ii already, I decided to try the Sony –XM4 when I found it on sale for Black Friday at around $229 at Best Buy. Didn’t open the box for at least 10 days, before putting in time to try them out.
NOPE! The setup was fine, although the earcup pressure on my head was definitely stronger than the Bose. But it was the controls, or should I say the lack of consistent functionality of the controls, that made me pack them back up.
I watch the setup videos and read the manual thoroughly, activated all of the relevant features in the app. BUT! I couldn’t get the swipe controls for advancing tracks to work at all. I could only get the swipe up and down on the earcup function for volume control to work less than 10% of the time.
I did like the increase bass from the Sony …XM4’s. But with the NC700 touch control, which have worked flawlessly, I was not willing to handle the disfunction of the Sony …XM4’s.
Fortunately by waiting a few days after Black Friday, the new Bose QC45’s went on sale in the White Color, at Best Buy. So I swapped the XM4’s for the Bose QC45’s.
Can’t really tell the tonal difference between the QC45’s and the QC35 ii’s. BUT! Both the QC35 and QC45 seem to have a slightly stronger bass, than the NC700’s.
Why keep the QC35 and QC45? Simple! My travel electronics (tablet and phone) have USB-B ports. Traveling with the QC35 with its micro USB port, required that I carry an extra cable and battery.
So
NC700-house usage only
QC35ii-out and about, they stay in the car.
QC45-primarily for travel.
So although I don’t consider myself a brand loyalist. In the case of Bose, they work and do what they are suppose to do.
NOTE- I had a pair of QC25’s that would make this strange buzz. Although out of warranty, I took them to a Bose store for some help. Told the cashier the issue. She promptly gave me a ‘brand new’ (not refurbed) pair. She mentioned that the buzzing that I had complained about, was mentioned in some internal tech document. Been loyal Bose ever since.
Just bought them. Can’t wait to pick ‘em up 😅
It was a fair a reasonable comparison review – i had the QC-35 and now the Sony WH-1000XM4. Soney has noticeably better noise-cancelling abilities in the airplane, but i can’t say about street noise since i don’t wear these types of headphones on the streets.
Hello! I need your help, these headphones cancel household noises: fridge, air conditioning, voices, TV sound. Thank you.
The QC 45s now have the ability to adjust the EQ in the Bose Music app.
the self help video you watched of what to do with your hands while talking might not have been the best
QC 45 noise cancelling is almost too good. Everything else about it is great.
Currently I am using Bose headphones QC 45 oh god what a rich clarity sound it provides soothes ear heart soul what to say.
I love the product, but I find the customer service to be very frustrating. I tried to get some product service, and, personally, I found it very difficult to have two-way conversations with customer service agents.
I wish I could afford these but I’m kinda broke
for some reason the quality of the noise cancelling of my headphones reduced and im not sure if its me being used to it or it actually has been reduced
My qc 35II is on its last leg. They have been well loved and used. I need to replace mine. They didnt block out noise from fans or traffic as well as i hoped.
Been using QC 45 for a couple months now and thought i’d give people a heads up since I wanted to read comments like these before buying it. They feel really great, battery is really good, noise cancellation is good and i think the sound quality is good as well. With my headphones though there is a weird issue where my left side randomly starts rustling / making static noise that gets louder and louder as time goes on. Weirdly enough pressing the power slider down (normally you would slide it left to right) makes the rustling louder. And somehow once it gets really loud, the noise completely cuts out and then the headphones work as intended without any weird noises. The noise started showing up after like a month after usage and it occurs really randomly. I could send mine to repair cuz it still has warranty, but i cba because the noise can be fixed with that weird trick. Hopefully im the only one with this issue though. Apart from that i really recommend these headphones and they are definitely worth the price.
I have a question I can’t seem to find an answer to : is the sound quality of the QC45 the same on both quiet and aware modes ? Compared to the mediocre sound on passive mode ? I mainly use it in an already silent closed room and don’t need that much of an airplane pressure on the ears, it would be great that the aware mode was the same sound quality without the extreme noise cancelling which seems useless in that case. Thank you in advance for your answers !
Consider buying the BOSE QC45 headphones guys! If you’re looking for headphones and have a budget (cause it’s a bit expensive, but hopefully you can get a discount or stumble upon a sale!😁)
I’ve read a lot reviews about these headphones! Comfortness! Really, it’s super comfortable, not even exaggerating anymore. I’ve been told that someone wore these headphone for more than 5 hours and slept with it also without even noticing that they’re wearing it! HAHAH
So don’t hesitate to buy the Bose QC45 if you have the money✨ It will be worth it for people who are LOOKING FOR HEADPHONES AND PRIORITIZING THE COMFORTNESS OR COMFORTABILITY ✨🙌
The fact that you cannot control the noise cancellation output via the app is extremely disappointing. The prolonged exposure to noise cancellation technology hurts my head.
I’ve had my qc 35ii since 2020 I think, still works good but I’m going to be switching to Sony next because I like their unique touch features, the less I have to pull out my phone it would be nice
Disappointment with the Sony noise cancelling headphones wh1000xm4 after about a year of use started to make a high pitch noise in one side, very piercing, looks like is a common problem with this headphones and Sony dont do nothing about it, I bought the Bose now.
