I have had the Bose QC35 series 1 for 5 years and just upgraded to the QC 45’s and it’s been an incredible jump in performance!

Lol the noice level difference on pre-pandemic and post pandemic on the streets is hugely different. How can you get a fair comparison on ANC if you’ll be testing it post pandemic? Lol

I got my Sony 1000xm4s, their just amazing!! Sounds incredible, enough deep bass and exceptional noise cancelling I think these are a must have compared to the others and also this has amazing build and comfort! Up to you people but I got my Sony’s for £250 brand new a couple months ago!! 👍

If you _already_ have QC-35i’s, QC-35ii’s, WF-1000XM3’s or WF-1000XM4’s, I can’t see a compelling reason to switch (maybe apart from being able to connect to 2x bluetooth devices vs the WF-1000XM3’s, but the XM4’s can do that).

The main change is slightly improved noise cancelling vs the QC-35ii’s (and slightly improved battery life) and USB-C vs the the previous two QC-35 headphones, but both pairs of Sony’s I’ve listed come with more advanced features (and EQ), while the MK1 and MK2 QC-35 models undercut the QC-45 for price and are not much worse in sound or ANC.

Also, they _still_ use a semi-proprietary 3.5mm to *2.5mm* headphone jack (2.5mm end on the headphones), which just makes them more inconvenient to maintain (e.g. if the supplied cable gets lost of damaged) long term.

After Bose’s poor response and inability to resolve Nc700 issues I won’t be touching Bose again. Sony will get my vote and business.

I honestly consider my 700s a downgrade over my qc 35s. Sounds no better, and noise cancellation gives me an even worse headache

I had the NC700 and then returned them because the clamping force was too much during long study sessions. I went with the QC 45 for comfort and the best noise canceling. Thus far, I haven’t regretted it. I can wear them for hours while studying and they do a really good job with voices.

No. Anyone who’s seen the FR curve on these shouldn’t even think about buying them. Get a YHE-700a from Yamaha or stick with the Sony’s

Have the 700s and MX4. Tried these new QCs – it’s a cheap version of the 700s.

You can hear the reticence to criticize the Sonys. That’s ‘cause they’re the best.
