I returned the AirPod Pro Maxs because they were so heavy and uncomfortable. I bought the Sonys instead. 👍

Everyone has their own preference for each model or brand of headphones. But from my own experience I can tell that when you buy an Apple products in general they are future proof and they will still get new features over time, but not just new features but also future proof in terms of how long headphones or earphones will serve you after you buy them. Like I bought airpods pro since it’s release and it’s been 1 and a half year, battery and audio quality is still solid. Received siri notifications, airpods customization, spatial audio, automatic switching between  devices and all these features were received via updates on ios device. I had sony xm3 and it usually got updates for bug fixes and improvements but not new features, also headband broke after 2 years of use, + the ear cups became worse just after 1 year of use. Overall experience was great but not future prove for long term use, so I suspect airpods max made from aluminum and stainless steel + detachable (changeable) ear cups will serve at least 3 years, because build quality is solid and materials are premium. Like plastic headphones can break pretty easily, my brother had bose qc 35 II and one time in the morning he woke up, and just tried to put headphones on his head and it got snapped in half right in the middle of headband because it got stretched when trying to put them on his ears, it was an accident but my point is that plastic headphones tend to break or malfunction faster. Overall  products work solid for long period of time that’s my point

I had the XM3 and wifey XM4. Both sound and perform very well and very similar. XM4 has a problem XM3 do not, they disconnect some times from our Samsung TV. This is a known problem that maybe will resolve in a future firmware update, I hope.

I have had two of them and had to send them back. The first ones had connection problems and right ear cup noise but I could reset them. I sent them back for a replacement. I got my second AirPods max and they were even worse. A different pair in a different colour. They had the same issues but won’t resett. I’m getting a refund this time and refund on the apple care also. Very disappointed that Apple put out a product that doesn’t match it’s high price. When they worked they were great at times but the continuous problems on and off and then finally not being able to reset them made me just want a refund. They look great and are strong. The sound quality was brilliant at times and the noise cancellation the best. Another reason I didn’t go for a replacement was that they wanted to send a replacement in the same colour. I wanted to make sue I didn’t get the same ones back. I DON’T THINK THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN STEVE JOBS DAY. I also had all my devices on the latest upgrades of software and the headphones are also. Didn’t make any difference to the annoying things happening at times with them. I tried everything to get them sorted.

I’ve noticed that Apple sells replacement earpieces, which is a big plus for me. I’m currently on my second pair of Bose 300 headphones, and I can only find cheap knock-off replacement earpieces that fall apart pretty quickly. If I go for the AirPods Max next time, at least I know I can keep ‘em running for a while longer.

I got my pods at iplaypods,co. They are awesome. Quality is INSANE. Sound and mic are so fluid. My recommendation for them.

I own the Sony WH1000XM4 and XM4, I have not even considered the AirPods Max since their release, Apart from the price I don’t like the way they look.

I have the Sony Xm4 and love it! I also use it with a $35 accessory as a PS5 and Xbox Series X gaming headset and it works fantastically. Just need the V-MODA BoomPro mic from Amazon and you’re set. Not an advertisement, lol, I just really love my setup. Especially since you can pay $300 for an Astro headset that won’t work with both consoles for no reason.
