I own all of them and my preference are. For comfort the Bose wins hands down. For sound quality, noice canceling, device switching convenience and voice calls I prefer the Airpods Max, For more bass heavy songs I like the XM4 but of all 3 the XM4 are seeing the less use.

I bought the Sony XM3 for £198 in the UK and it’s by far beats all these three as far as price vs quality is concerned

Personally, the Airpods Max look the ugliest. As beautifully made as it is (and it certainly is), I don’t know what possesed Apple to think that having what looks like two giant shiny pebbles eroded by water for centuries attached to your head is anything attractive.

Clearly, they have lost a step by ax-ing Jony Ive. The Max doesn’t even look futuristic like the OG earpods and its wireless offsprings. They just look ridiculous.

Tim Apple, please bring back Jony and please, for the love of god, put the poster of Dieter Ram’s 10 principles of good design back on the Apple Design Studio walls.

No matter how good is Airpods Pro or Bose 700 in SOME categories, Sony’s headphones from WH-1000XM3 they perfected all concerned categories that you would like with WH-1000XM4. It’s the best overall noise canceling wireless heaphone in the market.🤙

So I have the Bose, the SONY & a pair of the Beoplay H95 by Bang & Olufson
And of the 3 the Beoplay is the best. It sits heavily on your head, true but the anc and the lush sound is to die for
