2:13 That didn’t make any sense at all. Lol.
You already had a 3.5mm cable to just directly plug into the port on the headphones. Why would you even try to use the adapter? 😂 You still need a 3.5mm audio cable when using the adapter. Lol.
You are using an iPhone 12 to connect to these headphones !!! Use your Android phone to see what nonsense they are!
Besides, they look like Chinese $ 5 headphones to me.
I choose Sony
I have the Airpod Max headphones and I don’t get why everyone says they are so heavy? I’m a casual user and yes, the others are lighter but I don’t think the weight of the Airpods is that much more? I wear mine all day working and use them for teleconferencing and listening to music or audible. I’ll even use them on the treadmill or elliptical with out issue (for more vigorous workouts, use earbuds!) Now with that said, the weight is a symptom of their build quality. Compared to the other two, these are built like a tank in comparison. I feel like I’m less likely to break these versus the plastic built headphones. All three are great though, I just thought I’d add my observations to the Apple headphones. Cheers!
The Bose had the best mic I think
Im an I phone user, however, im “SONY” for live… i own three different Sony
WF-1000MX3
WH-900N
MDR-XB950B1
I love all three
Great video, thank you. I’ve never understood ambient mode to chat because you’ve still got the headphones on, and almost everyone I’ve met thinks that’s rude (ie take them off please)
I own the Sony and the Bose 700, I like the Sony the best but the bose is better for calls. I don’t like how the Bose go on the head so someone else will own these soon
Thank you for such a well thought out and comprehensive review!
def the best-looking review comparison out there! but what about high-pitched dog barks? I got a st. bernard that sounds like a squeaky sliding door, or chalk on a blackboard. Will the 700s help? Hope so, I just ordered a pair… no sonys here in stock, and no way on the apple – I already have the Airpod Pros, and they dunna connect very well to M1 computers…
Good to see somebody who doesn’t seem to have an anti-Apple bias. I agree, the ANC and transparency modes on the APM are top notch and a step above the others. I’d also add that the device integration with Apple devices is pretty amazing (as you’d expect).
However, I have to come in and mention that the APM has a major reliability issue. I’m actually here having talked Apple into a refund past the usual return period because I’ve now had my headphones replaced twice in the six months since I bought them, and the third pair has died. I’m not sure whether it’s that they never turn off, or the significant condensation problem for extended listening sessions, or the lack of protection the case provides, but the online forums are on fire with people who are on their third, fourth, fifth pair because they keep dying. I’m sincerely hoping that the second generation of the APM addresses these issues, because if they were as reliable as their competitors, they’d be a total winner (at least for Apple users), but in the meantime, I need a pair that will work reliably.
Apple, if you’re reading this – fix the condensation issue, allow the things to be fully turned off, and for the love of all things holy, provide a protective case (that bra you send is a laughing stock).
Thank you so much. This is so helpful 🥰🙃
I have the Bose my GF has the Sony, Bose is superior I can assure Bose beats Sony.
This was the most helpful of all 15-20 youtube reviews I’ve seen on this topic. And the look of groovy-ness on your face as you listened to your music with the Sony was the highest selling point. 😂
I know Apple is all about their build quality, but it doesn’t make sense to have them all metal because they just weigh too much. They could have easily made a quality pair with more plastic that would still be great and ideally drop the price a bit. But you know… Apple tax.
I own all three. Bit of a nut I am afraid. You can’t go too far wrong with any of them. I have finally learned to pull down the Max and now like the fit. I also like the crown for volume, call and forward-back control. Simplicity of use on a headphone is best for me. Call quality important to me and I am still not sure which does the job best under all conditions. All are good. Max probably best if you took a bite of the Apple, you sinner. And the Apple case? Well, as with all apple products, you can find a third party case. It’s only money. Overall, Max wins and it is a toss up between the other two.
I don’t like the plastic design on the bose, the air pods look to bulky so I think Sonys design looks the best, the matte looks amazing I just don’t like the charging holes on the side 😭
I was thinking to get either airpod max or Bose before I click the video. Now you convinced me to purchase the Sony. Thank you
Apple really is like most governments. Bad with your money, and knows what’s best for you, so you don’t need the freedom to do what you please. “Give us all your money, and we’ll take care of the rest”.
Oddly enough, the Air Pod Max on the Note 20 sounded the best/most natural of the bunch.
One area Sony needs to improve on the XM5 is definitely the mic quality.
